Vorarlberg is the most westerly and the smallest of all the federal states in Austria. It has borders with southern Germany, Switzerland, and the Principality of Liechtenstein and has a population of a little over 375,000 inhabitants. Its capital, Bregenz, is situated on Lake Constance.
