The Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards (KLPA) is an annual international photography competition seeking entries on contemporary photographic portraits and open categories by emerging and established photographers worldwide. From KLPA's first open call in 2009, KLPA has grown in stature to become one of SE Asia's most important photography competitions, and has been voted one of the Top 50 competitions in the world, attracting many renown photographers globally, and highlighting Kuala Lumpur as a major photography venue and destination. KLPA13, the 5th annual call, attracted just under 1,000 entries and each year standards have been raised, as can be witnessed in this public exhibition at GALERI PETRONAS. The Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards 2013 – Winners & Finalists Exhibition is open to public from May 23rd until June 23rd.
