GALERI PETRONAS is proud to present CROSSINGS: Pushing Boundaries which feature the artworks of 15 Malaysian artists who not only gained experience internationally but more importantly have embraced the changing pace of contemporary art practice.
Vorarlberg is the most westerly and the smallest of all the federal states in Austria. It has borders with southern Germany, Switzerland, and the Principality of Liechtenstein and has a population of a little over 375,000 inhabitants.

Yves Saint Laurent: Birth of a Legend

“Fashion fades, style is eternal” - Yves Saint Laurent.At the end of 1961, Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé launched their rst fashion show. The French photojournalist Pierre Boulat (1924 – 1998), spent ve weeks embedded with Yves Saint Laurent as he prepared to stage this show, after three years as the head designer at Christian Dior.
Portraits, whether it be drawn, painted, photographed or sculpted, are often reserved for those who are deemed important. The common subjects captured in a stylised portrait were usually for people of power such as royalty and nobilities, important religious and historic figures. It was also common to honour important people who have outstanding achievements for their contribution to the nation and society.
