Seasonal Exhibitions

GALERI PETRONAS presents an exhibition of Malaysian landscapes drawn from the PETRONAS Art Collection. Featuring some 30 paintings, watercolour and sculptures by influential Malaysian artists from the Peninsula, Sarawak and Sabah. The exhibition explores the layers of interpretations of the landscape with relation to our past, present and the future. In the 1980s during the era of economic boom, private institutions and corporations began to play their roles in supporting the work of Malaysian visual artists for public viewing. Today, with the rise of the middle-class, the public has begun to take an interest in understanding art.
